WWF SmackDown!
Bobby Heenan is in the ring, and announces that will be interviewing "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple hits, and The Franchise makes his way down to the ring.
Douglas takes the mic:Cut the friggin' music!
*he gives the mic back to The Brain*
Bobby Heenan:Alright. Shane Douglas, I gotta ask you one thing. We all know that you're basically trying to make an impact in the World Wrestling Federation. But, I wanna know your real motive behind your past attacks on "The Game" Triple H. I mean, we go back to Wrestlemania, where you made your shocking debut by costing HHH the WWF Championship in his match with The Rock. Then, the next night, you attacked HHH, again. And then, the same thing happened again on the following edition of SmackDown!. But, one week ago, Shane, it all caught up with you, after you once again jumped HHH, Kurt Angle attacked you, layed you out with his Olympic Slam, which left the door open for HHH to set you up, and pedigree you down into the mat. My question to you, Shane Douglas, is what is your motivation?
Shane Douglas:Bobby Heenan, you wanna know why? I'll tell you why, alright. You see, as far as me and HHH go, the issue with myself and The Game goes back many years. All the way back to the mid-90's, when HHH was a member of this functioning group known as The Klique. A group of political backstabbers that made a living out of making talented wrestlers like me starve to death. We all know what went down, back in 1995. If you compile that with the fact that HHH is the absolute biggest ripoff of all time, then you know exactly why I hate Hunter's guts. You see, Triple H is nothing more than a d**n copycat. He's a Franchise Wannabe, and a pretender to my throne in this great sport. That's reason why I came here to the WWF. It's because I'm out to prove a point, and that point is that there is only ONE Franchise in this great sport, and his name is Shane Douglas. Now, let me get on to Kurt Angle. You wanna talk about someone who's become the ultimate sellout? Kurt Angle, you did honor our country in the Olympic Games. But, that was then, and this is now. You seem to not get that point, Kurt. But, at Backlash, Kurt Angle, there is one point that you will most definately get crystal clearly, and that's the fact that in Washington, D.C., The Franchise will expose you for the complete fraud that you are, and when it's all over, you will get your ass Franchised. And when I'm done with Kurt Angle at Backlash, I will once again turn my focus back to Triple H, and I will once again deal with him accordingly, and that is a d**n shoot.
With that being said, "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple hits, once again, and The Franchise takes his leave, as we go to a commercial break.

WWF Backlash, live on PPV!
WWF Tag Team Championship!
Edge & Christian (c) def. New Age Outlaws, surprisingly by cheating when Christian knocked out Road Dogg with a steel chair, allowing Edge to score the pinfall. "The Franchise" Shane Douglas came out after the bell, and gave a couple of Triple Threat t-shirts to the champs. Shane Douglas is also wearing a Triple Threat t-shirt, as well. Apparently, Shane Douglas has reformed The Triple Threat with Edge & Christian.
Winners:and STILL WWF Tag Team Champions, Edge & Christian!
Tazz def. X-Pac with the Tazzmission The APA def. Bossman & Buchanan The Dudley Boyz def. Test & Albert Eddie Guerrero def. D-Lo Brown to retain the European Title. Shane Douglas def. Kurt Angle with the Pittsburgh Plunge. Chris Benoit def. Chris Jericho to retain the Intercontinental Title.
WWF Championship!
The Rock (c) vs. Triple H
It seemed that the rest of DX was at bay, as they were licking their wounds. But, much like their classic battle at Wrestlemania, both champion and challenger gave all the fans in attendance one hell of a show. Stephanie tried her best to help HHH win. But, the referee sent her packing, and let the title match continue. Triple H was still on his way to victory after the ref got knocked out of the ring. HHH floored Rock with the pedigree, and made the cover. But, the referee was still down. As HHH tried to revive him, history repeated itself, as Shane Douglas once again got involved in Hunter's affairs, as Douglas knocked out HHH with a steel chain, while his new Triple Threat comerades helped revive the ref. The Franchise layed out The Game with the Pittsburgh Plunge before he and the tag team champs took off, leaving The Rock to deliver the People's Elbow to a fallen Triple H, and then he made the cover, and the referee counted.
1........2...........3!
Winner:and STILL WWF Champion, The Rock!
As The Rock celebrated his victory and retaining the WWF Title, he knew then that he could finally move on to other title contenders, as he posed for the crowd. This was how the PPV drew to a close.

From the Wrestling Observer!
-Now that Backlash is officially in the history books, the question remains that who will be next to step up to the plate, and challenge The Rock for the WWF Title? Ideas are currently being thrown around for guys like Big Show, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and even the returning Undertaker. We'll just have to wait and see what the WWF pulls out of the hat.
-One thing is for certain, the next title challenger will NOT be Triple H, nor will it be Shane Douglas for that matter, as The Franchise is now officially set to start feuding with The Game, starting tonight on RAW is WAR. Many ideas are being thrown in for the next PPV, as we can now pretty much confirm that WWF Judgement Day will be headlined with a double main event. One match will see The Rock defend his WWF Title, and the other will be the big grudge match between Shane Douglas vs. Triple H. Those two have been already confirmed to go at it at the next PPV in some match form, or fashion.
We'll get you more on this story as we go along.

WWF RAW is WAR
The opening segment begins with Vince McMahon in the ring, and he is ready to officially announce the main event for the next PPV, Judgement Day. But, before he could begin, HHH & Stephanie come down to the ring and HHH gets in Vince's face.
HHH:Alright, here's the deal. Vince, I fully realize that I most likely won't be getting another title shot for quite some time. So, what I want for Judgement Day is a match where I can legally get my hands on Shane Douglas, and cripple him for life for screwing me again, last night. Vince, I want to make it clear that "The Franchise" Shane Douglas has screwed The Game for the last time. At Judgement Day, I want The Franchise, and I want that match made, now!
Vince:You know, HHH? I expected you to come out here and throw a complete temper tantrum about last night. So, here's what I'm gonna do. At our next pay per view, Judgement Day, it will be Triple H vs. Shane Douglas in the first ever, Ironman Hell in a Cell Match. That's right, HHH. Both you and Shane Douglas will have the chance to finally have at each other for one full hour inside the demonic structure in which you retired Mick Foley, last Febuary at No Way Out.
HHH smiled:Vince, I hope you're happy, now, because as of today, you have officially arranged a public career execution of the career of The Franchise. At Judgement Day, Shane Douglas is going to HELL!
"My Time" hits, and The Helmsleys finally take their leave, while Vince McMahon remains in the ring.
Vince:Well, I guess, with that out of the way, allow me to announce the other main event, in which the WWF Championship will be put on the line. The Rock, whom retained the WWF Title, last night against Triple H at Backlash, he will defend the WWF Title against the return of The Undertaker.
*crowd cheers*
Vince:And speaking of main events, HHH was out here earlier, moaning about getting screwed out of the title, thanks to Shane Douglas. Well, I tell you what. Tonight, we'll have a little bit of a Judgement Day preview tonight, when the DX trio of Triple H & New Age Outlaws will face the 3 men that apparently call themselves The Triple Threat. A trio which consists of the WWF Tag Team Champions, Edge & Christian and their partner & team captain, "The Franchise" Shane Douglas.
*crowd cheers as we go to break*
Meanwhile, WWF Champion, The Rock is backstage, and he says that he will be ready, come hell or high water for his title match with The Undertaker at the next PPV.
