Just as Punk and Williams talk about issuing their challenge to Miz and Santino, Shane Douglas appears on the tron. Wearing his classic gold colored shirt with a black "F" logo on the chest and the ECW Championship hanging on his shoulder. Douglas speaks to the two men from his locker room.
Shane Douglas: Did I hear someone mention my name here tonight?
Fans are booing him already.
Shane Douglas: I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that "Wildman" Gary Williams actually has some respect for your ECW World Champion.. Well Gary, I appreciate the comments but the fact of the matter is this.. I don't need and I don't want your respect. I don't care about a guy who has to wrestle over foreign objects or mutilate his body to try and prove a point that he's the tougher man.
Douglas chuckles while glancing down for a moment and then looks back up into the camera.
Shane Douglas: You, much like CM Punk.. AJ Styles.. New Jack.. Miz.. and Santino, all represent what's wrong with ECW. You people make me sick to my stomach. Everytime I sit in the back and watch you guys appear on the monitors I have to look away because I am ashamed to represent a brand who's talent isn't the best. Hell it doesn't even qualify for being mediocre! It's bottom of the barrel just like the crap I see in the ring right now!
Williams sees this as an insult as does Punk, they're saying things off mic to him as he laughs to the chorus of boos.
Shane Douglas: You talk about wanting to face the best? Well the best on ECW is the Champion, and you're looking at him. The only way you're going to get to me is by earning it. Williams, you're two and zero on weekly television. Have a d**n cookie, I've been busting my a** here in this company since day one and helping to make this place what it is! You want my respect? Earn it.
Douglas awaits a reply.
