Here's the list of wrestlers in this video:
50- Killer Kowalski
Without a doubt he's on this list he's trained some of the most gifted and surprising talents of all time. Not to mention he was one scary bastard himself.
49- Batista
I don't get why he's on this list but I can see merit for a honorable mention possibly.. He's big, strong, and talks ok. He was apart of a short new age boom period and cut his teeth through the indy circuit and developmental. He's Triple H's buddy.. Nuff Said..
48- Rick Rude
How can you not have a top 50 without this man being anywhere on the list? You could put Rick Rude in any spot and not deny his ability. He walked the walk, talked the talked, and did whole lot more and then some. With or without a manager Rude was gold, he faced a who's who list in wrestling past and present. No one could deny his big man strength inside of a smaller man'd body. Controversial and outspoken always. "Cut the music", "Hit my music", and his always infamous beginning line "Now before I take my robe off, I want all you fat, outta shape, _________ ____________ to..."
47- Bob Backlund
This guy is no surprise here, he's one of the longest reigning World Champions in wrestling history. A former College Wrestler who set the standard in the WWWF for future amateur wrestlers this company would go on to aquire. He wrestled several interpromotional World Title matches and wrestled many great stars before retiring in the mid 80's. He resurfaced in the early 90's to challenge some of the current stars of that time period and had some classic battles. Backlund's last major match was in TNA Wrestling in 2007.
46- Dory Funk Jr
(2nd Generation Star)
Not only is his legacy for developing today's top talents is a stand out, but his wrestling match also. He was one of two sets of brother combinations to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He was much like Bob Backlund, one guy who would come at you all day long.
45- Jeff Hardy
Jeff is one of the superstars who's rarely defined by normal standards in terms of wrestling. Jeff was always and still goes outside the norms, and takes his matches from a whole other perspective. He's fun to watch, people love to watch him, you can't love him or hate him. Jeff left a tremendous legacy in WWE and helped transform the industry. In TNA, his brilliance continues to be tested and displayed however his personal life has shortened his career at the moment.
44- Nick Bockwinkel
(2nd Generation Star)
One of the all time greats in professional wrestling. You want to point to a wrestler in the locker room who could talk intelligently, make you believe what he's saying, and kick your ass at the same time? Look no further than Nick Bockwinkle. Nick made everything look good and easy through his dedication and continued hard work to stay on top of his game. He was one of the primary players in the AWA for many years before retiring. Nick still makes sporadic appearances doing signings and playing an official character from time to time. No doubt if you get watch a Bockwinkle match, you'll know why he's the best.
43- Kane
He's big.. He's nasty.. He's dominate! All this and more could describe what the Big Red Machine Kane personifies. A man of few words and more on actions, Kane has terrorized professional wrestling for over a decade. His many persona transformations from being an evil dentist to a knock off of Kevin Nash, finally led him to his big break as the forgotten brother of The Undertaker. Kane has battled many legends in his evolving career and captured a few championships to his merit. He's a Hollywood Horror star and one of the most consistent performers on the current WWE roster.
42- Sgt. Slaughter
"PAY ATTENTION YOU MAGGOTS!!!" No one says it better nore carries a banner like Sargent Slaughter! A legit US Marine, Slaughter has wrestled all over the world for many major wrestling promotions. Championships in the AWA, NWA, and WWF most notably. However instead of being just another character to embrace his military roots, Slaughter gained world wide fame as a cast member in the GI Joe action cartoon series and guest spots on Super Mario Brothers. But make no mistake about it, Slaughter could be either your best friend or your worst nightmare inside that wrestling because every night was Boot Camp with the Sarge.
41- Jack Brisco
Jack Brisco is arguably one of the most dominate NWA Champions of all time. One of the few majorly successful amateur wrestlers in history, Jack was a rough and rugged man who could take you down and out of your shoes before you could even blink. There was something about Jack that screams "you're dead meat" once a man stepped foot into the ring with him.
40- Big Show
If there was a second coming, or if Andre The Giant had a child, it would've been this man.. The Big Show. He's 7 foot 2 and 500 pounds, a survivor of the Monday Night Wars era. He's one of few men to be WWE, WCW, and ECW Champion. He stared in movies and headlined some of the biggest wrestling events in history with a slew of who's whos. There's not a man on the planet who can match his athletic ability and his willingness to try new things.
